Overview
Seeking a motivated and commercially aware Employment Solicitor (1–3 years’ PQE) to join their growing Employment team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who wants to develop a broad practice across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, acting for a diverse client base.

The successful candidate will have experience advising both Claimants and Respondent and will be comfortable managing their own caseload and carry out business development activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Advising clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including:
o Unfair dismissal
o Discrimination claims
o Redundancy and restructuring
o Whistleblowing
o TUPE
• Managing employment tribunal claims from inception to conclusion
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements
• Providing strategic, commercially focused advice to clients
• Assisting with non-contentious work, including:
o Employment contracts
o Policies and handbooks
o Advisory support on HR issues
• Maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives

Candidate Requirements
• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1–3 years’ PQE in employment law
• Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious matters
• Exposure to acting for both claimants and respondents
• Strong drafting and analytical skills
• Confident communicator with excellent client-facing abilities
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach

Desirable
• Experience in advocacy at preliminary hearings
• Exposure to corporate support work

Primarily as residential property specialist you will have the ability to manage your own caseload and all aspects of sales and purchases, with the benefit of experienced and highly administrative support.

Duties include:

Undertaking and managing a caseload of sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, new builds, shared ownership, help to buy, and right to buy transactions, as well as remortgages and transfers of equity.
Creating and maintaining lasting relationships with clients and third parties at all levels.
Having a thorough and detailed approach to work.
